Compensation & Benefits:

  • $25–$30/hour (depending on experience)

A loving, warm-hearted mom in Fairfax is seeking a part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to provide consistent, thoughtful support to her and her two young children – an energetic 1.5-year-old son and a bright, spirited 3.5-year-old daughter. This position is ideal for someone who brings empathy, calm, and stability, and who genuinely enjoys being a gentle, reliable presence in a family's daily life.

This incredible mom lost her husband a year ago. Since then, she has gracefully navigated solo parenthood, but she is seeking a helping hand to keep her home running smoothly and allow her to focus on what matters most, spending meaningful time with her kids.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Light tidying and household organization

  • Family laundry and folding

  • Grocery shopping and errands

  • Package management

  • Simple meal prep/snack prep for the children

  • Helping mom sort through and purge toys and outgrown clothes

  • Helping with the children’s bedtime routine

  • Providing an extra set of hands during transitions and busy moments

  • Offering flexible support, knowing when to step in and when to step back

  • Loving interaction and engagement with the children

  • Occasional school/daycare pickup as needed

The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • Empathetic, grounded, and nurturing

  • Comfortable stepping in and stepping back as needed, supportive but not overbearing

  • A self-starter who sees what needs to be done and does it

  • Naturally tidy and organized with a talent for creating calm in chaos

  • Emotionally intelligent and understanding of the needs of a solo parent

  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to building a long-term connection

  • Comfortable around pets (11-year-old golden retriever and 13-year-old cat)
  • Looking for someone who can commit to at least a full year, with the potential to extend the contract as they need consistency for the kids.

This is a very special opportunity to become a trusted part of a kind, generous household where your presence will truly matter. The right candidate will not only help keep things running but also help this family continue to heal, grow, and thrive.
