Morris County, Chatham, NJ family is looking to hire a compassionate Local Live Out Registered Nurse/Companion/Caregiver to fully support their delightful 28 year old intellectually and developmentally disabled son with various medical issues, Mon-Friday from 9-5 pm. The competent and confident medically savvy experienced professional will have a willingness to learn and will be friendly, kind and FUN, yet firm! Someone who will effectively relate to their active and energetic social and friendly son, taking brisk walks while engaging and keeping him intellectually stimulated.
-The ability to assist with his daily medical issues (Diabetes, Respiratory, G tube, Ileostomy) will be necessary.
-The family receives support services through Easter Seals, and the candidate will receive benefits through their employment.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Companion Care: Full support for 28-year-old adult male who presents like a 12 year old boy with his small stature (4'11, 97 lbs) intellectually and developmentally with various medical issues
- Laundry: Yes
- Meal Prep: Yes, support in the kitchen as needed. Simple meals as needed
- Medication Management: Yes, assist with nebulizer (Respiratory) and Dexcom (Diabetes), G-Tube, Ileostomy
- Errands: Yes, as needed
- Driving: YES, own vehicle required.
Position Requirements
- Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm
- MUST Have Years of Experience working in a similar role, domestic experience preferred.
- Nursing Certificate strongly preferred
- MUST be LOCAL to the area, with own car
- Minimum of 2 References
- Upon offer of hire, background screenings required, including drug
Position Compensation
- Salary: $35-$40+ per hour DOE, plus Full benefit package through Easter Seals. The family receives support services through Easter Seals, and the candidate will receive benefits through their employment.
