Accommodations: Private 1 BD/1 BA provided in each home
Compensation: $90-100K/year DOE, 3 weeks vacation, $5,000 annual health stipend

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and energetic Live-In Housekeeper/House Manager for a busy, private couple. You’ll be based in their NYC home (or potentially Greenwich, CT) but will travel between their residences in the U.S. and occasionally to Paris. The couple values flexibility and a positive attitude, as their schedules and locations are ever-changing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping: Full housekeeping duties including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, bed-making, and linen changes.
  • House Management/Personal Assistance: Ordering household supplies, coordinating vendors, contractor management, calendar & scheduling management, travel bookings and arrangements, internet research, shopping, etc.
  • Light Cooking: Informal meals for the couple, primarily breakfast and dinner, with occasional grocery shopping. They often order in, so you may also handle delivery arrangements.
  • Errands: Running errands such as trips to the post office, dry cleaners, and grocery store.
  • Driving: Must be able to drive!
  • Travel: You will need to be comfortable traveling between homes, sometimes on short notice. Most of the couple's time is spent in Cambridge, MA, or Greenwich, CT, with NYC and East Hampton being other frequent locations.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Calm, kind, and adaptable with a “go-with-the-flow” attitude.
  • A self-starter who can adjust to the evolving needs of each home, especially if renovations are ongoing.
  • Comfortable living in someone else's home, with a clear understanding of boundaries.
  • Organized, reliable, and efficient with strong communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (car provided for work use).

Schedule:

  • Core Hours: Friday – Tuesday, potentially 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. These may change based on needs but approximately 40-45 hours/week.
  • Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Must be available to work Holidays (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas, etc.). Other holidays will be flexible.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent references (minimum of 2).
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug testing.
  • Fluent in English.

How to Apply:
If you are a friendly, adaptable, and experienced professional looking for a long-term opportunity, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your application and a cover letter about why this is the right role for you, along with your salary requirements.
