Position: Full-Time Live-In Nanny
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week. Typical hours include mornings (6:30 AM – 9:30 AM) and evenings (5:00 PM – 9:30 PM), with weekend coverage required and two weekdays off. Flexibility for occasional late nights and schedule changes is essential.
Salary: Around $75,000/year via payroll, with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses of up to $15,000. 2 weeks PTO
Start Date: ASAP, ideally within 2 weeks
Relocation: Yes – open to a nationwide search.
About the Family
A warm and welcoming private family located in Pittsford, New York is seeking a dedicated and reliable Live-In Nannyto provide stability and routine for their children. The family values education, curiosity, minimal screen time, and open communication, and they are looking for someone who will become a long-term and trusted part of their household.
- Children: Two boys, ages 7 and 3. Both are active and social. The older child participates in guitar, taekwondo, swimming, and Japanese language school, while the younger may require occasional assistance with feeding and potty training.
- Parents: Father works from home; mother is retired. The parents travel occasionally for wife’s medical treatment.
- Pets: One cat.
- Language: Japanese fluency is preferred but not required.
This is intended to be a long-term position, with the hope that the nanny will remain with the family as the children grow.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, hands-on care and ensure the children’s safety and well-being.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine, including morning and evening care.
- Handle school and daycare drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Transport children to extracurricular activities and playdates.
- Prepare healthy meals for the family a few days a week.
- Supervise homework and encourage educational and creative activities.
- Assist the younger child with feeding and occasional potty support.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, and organization).
- Provide weekend and occasional late-night coverage.
- Care for the children during periods of parental travel.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the parents.
