Our household is in need of a proactive individual who can tackle a wide range of responsibilities, from household maintenance to driving family members as needed. We offer a flexible schedule, making this position suitable for part-time or full-time employment.
Position Summary: As our Houseman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our household. You will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, running errands, and providing transportation for family members, all while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Maintenance:
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, and assembling furniture.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues that may require attention.
- Coordinate with external contractors for more complex repairs and renovations.
Errand Running: 4. Run various errands, including grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and handling deliveries.
- Manage household supplies and keep track of inventory.
- Handle recycling and waste disposal in an environmentally responsible manner.
Driving: 7. Provide transportation for family members to appointments, school, and other activities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the family vehicle(s).
- Ensure adherence to traffic rules and safety protocols while driving.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a handyman or driver is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic handyman skills for minor household repairs.
- Familiarity with the Upper East Side area is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Part-time and full-time schedule options are available, and compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
